Created for SFMOMA’s online & live interdisciplinary commissioning platform, Urgency Broadcasts was structured as a redacted internal email within a fictional Miami governmental authority, and four corresponding videos in the form of public service announcements.
The text and videos are speculative transmissions from a latent future we currently inhabit. The broadcasts operate as notifications, short bursts of image, text and sound as powerful tools with which to process and disseminate ideas, ask questions and propose alternate futures.
